<p>Community Choices is a group of centres that provide day opportunities for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and older people. It encourages people to participate fully in their lives and promote good wellbeing. We work with people who are wheelchair users with limited mobility and it is important for people to change their positions throughout the day to help with their posture and reduce the risk of muscle contractions. This will help meet our Care Act 2014 needs with promoting wellbeing and meeting individual needs. Section 2: We require a physio bed to allow adults to be positioned in a variety of ways to promote good physical wellbeing and posture. We require a height adjustable bed with sides and additional supports to help with positioning for people who have various physical difficulties. It will need breaks. We would like the bed to allow the individual to participate in other activities at the same time, so it may need sides that go down, adjustable back and be able to wheel it from one space to another. It needs to be in a material that is easy to clean. It will need to support adults in prone position, side lying and supine. Section 3: Budget/Spend Information We have a budget of &pound;7,000, this should include extended warranty and delivery plus the bed and any support packs. Section 4: Performance Measures We would like to have this in place for the beginning of next year, delivery for February 2022.
