Vacancy in Existing Supported Living Placement

<p>We are looking for a supported living service for a 20-year-old gentleman with a diagnosis of mild learning disabilities and autism. Due to the timescales this should be an existing service that has a current vacancy. Preference would be for County Durham or surrounding areas within the North East. He has a good sense of humour and is seen as very independent and able in most aspects of his life. He requires support around cooking, cleaning, and accessing the community. He benefits from predictable structure around his support. He currently has capacity around his care and support, and accommodation needs. He does display varying levels of complex risk and behaviours that challenge. He can be verbally aggressive towards others and can make threats to kill. He can present as particularly intimidating towards females, and also makes sexually inappropriate comments about females. He is most likely to destroy the environment around him including punching holes in walls, slamming doors, tampering with plumbing and has been known to set fires. He has historically destroyed staff member&rsquo;s property. He will require male staff support where possible, or 2:1 female staff support. He requires staff who can speak clear English as he struggles with communication barriers when people have strong or thick accents.
