Traffic Control Equipment Maintenance and Emergency General Works Contract 2021

Tender description

Kildare County Council invites tenders for the provision of Traffic Control Equipment Maintenance and Emergency General Works Contract 2021 for a minimum two (2) year period which can be extended to a maximum period of four (4) years. The requirements of this Contract include, but are not limited to, the maintenance and supply and installation of equipment as follows: • 87 signalised junctions (MOVA and VA controlled) monitored remotely on RMS or UTC; 
 • 120 signal controlled remote pedestrian crossings monitored remotely on RMS or UTC; • 30 zebra crossing locations; 
 • 30 Periodic School Warning Signage sites (Flashing & Static) {Solar & Wind Powered}; • 14 General Advance Warning Signage sites (Flashing & Static) {Solar & Wind Powered}; 
 • 38 Speed Display Signage sites; 
 • 2 Vehicle Actuated Variable Message Signs; 
 • 8 Pedestrian/Cycle Counters • PC SCOOT/UTC Server; 
 • RMS Server. 
 Maintenance duties include; (see vol A Particulars document for full listing) • Corrective and preventive maintenance for the traffic control equipment at these sites including traffic signal equipment, pedestrian crossing traffic signal equipment, bollards, belisha beacons, controllers, out-station monitoring units, above ground detectors, out-station transmission units, push buttons, school warning signage, variable messaging signage etc. 
 • Emergency call out on a 24/7 basis. 
 • Emergency general works associated with maintaining all traffic signal equipment and maintaining SCOOT and MOVA controlled junctions; replacement traffic control equipment. 

 • Maintenance of communications for RMS and UTC/SCOOT and MOVA equipment. 
 • Corrective and preventive maintenance of KCC’s Fault Management System (FMS) Hardware, Remote Monitoring System (RMS) hardware and Urban Traffic Control (UTC) System Hardware; • Technical and Software Support • Configuration and Commissioning of Traffic Control equipment onto KCC systems. • Designer, PSDP and PSCS role.
