<p>The Borough Council of Bolton is seeking quotations for Prevention and Promotion Fund for Better Mental Health: Supporting Small Businesses and Self-Employed People 2021-2022. This fund is part of the government&rsquo;s Mental Health Recovery Action Plan 2021/22 which seeks to ensure the mental health impacts of COVID-19 are rapidly addressed, services can respond quickly and pressures on the NHS are reduced. It is also part of the government&rsquo;s levelling up agenda which seeks to restore the economy, level up the country and build back better. The cost of poor mental health to the economy has been estimated at around &pound;99 million per year, with common mental illness such as anxiety and depression the second most common cause of years lived with a disability. Due to the pandemic local businesses have been affected in many ways, impacting on the wellbeing of their workforce. These may include: &bull; Revenue decrease &bull; Extra unexpected costs due to Covid-19 &bull; Changes in business structures and staffing &bull; Uncertainty of future &bull; End of grant schemes &bull; Changes in furlough schemes &bull; Fear of covid and family worries This project will aim to provide early intervention mental wellbeing support to local businesses and self-employed people (referred to as &ldquo;businesses&rdquo;) who have been impacted by the pandemic.
