N70 Brackaharagh Road Construction Contract

Tender description

The N70 Brackaharagh Road Project comprises the on-line widening/realignment of approximately 1.2km of National Secondary Road in the townland of Brackaharagh in County Kerry. The project commences approximately 2.8km east of Caherdaniel village and terminates approximately 2.4km west of Castlecove Village. The cross section of the proposed road is a Type 3 Single Carriageway with a two-way cycletrack/pedestrian facility on one side of the road. The lands affected by the proposed project generally comprise agricultural lands, with some residential properties also located along the project. Works will generally include: - Site Clearance; - Earthworks, including rock excavation; - Drainage Works; - Extension/Replacement of existing culverts; - Construction of ducting and chambers; - Diversion of existing services; - Pavement construction; - Construction of fencing and safety barrier; - Construction of signage and road markings; - Landscaping; - Construction of accommodation works and ancillary works; The successful tenderer will undertake the roles of Works Contractor and Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS) on the project in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
