OBJECTIVES To train frontline Council staff in Making Every Contact Count (MECC) to enable them to have opportunistic brief person-centred conversation about health and wellbeing-related behaviour change. OUTPUTS • Development and delivery of a 11 half day training programmes • Creation of bespoke prompt sheet • Support the Council to promote the training widely across the London Borough of Waltham Forest • Manage training bookings and queries • Provide a summary of evaluation findings Making Every Contact Count is an approach to behaviour change that utilises the millions of day-to-day interactions that organisations and people have with other people to support them in making positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing. It aims to maximise teachable moments and make every contact count by increasing the knowledge, skills and confidence of the workforce who have contact with the public, thereby enabling them to have a brief person-centred conversation about health and wellbeing-related behaviour change.
