Feedback opportunity regarding Heat Pump Ready innovation programme

Tender description

Heat Pump Ready forms part of BEIS's £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP), which aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative clean energy technologies and processes through the 2020s and 2030s. As a key solution for decarbonising homes, heat pumps will be critical for meeting the UK's legally binding commitment to achieve net zero by 2050 - and delivering the Prime Minister's 10 Point Plan. Heat Pump Ready will support the development of innovative solutions across the heat pump sector. The Programme is aligned with other BEIS NZIP Programmes, and Ofgem's Network Innovation Fund (NIC) and Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF). Heat Pump Ready will be delivered through 3 streams: Stream 1: Solutions for High-Density Heat Pump Deployment . An SBRI programme to support the development of innovative methodologies and solutions for the co-ordinated deployment of heat pumps at a high density within a given location. Stream 2: Developing Tools and Technology. A grants programme supporting innovation in tools and technologies to overcome barriers to heat pump deployment. Stream 3: Trial Support and Learning. A contract to provide support, evaluation, knowledge sharing and dissemination services across the Heat Pump Ready Programme. BEIS have published a 'Programme Engagement Document', covering all 3 Streams of the programme, which can be found at the Heat Pump Ready Website, alongside Q&A responses from the Engagement Events held w/c 1st November 2021. BEIS are accepting feedback on the programme until 2nd December 2021, with details provided within the Programme Engagement Document on how to submit your feedback.
