Update - Postponed until 13th December - Please register by 10th December 12:00 midday The ONS are looking to secure the services of a Third Party that can provide Application Support and Installation of its Business Glossary Solution. The chosen Glossary solution uses the SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organisation System) framework and the opensource software VocBench and Skosmos. Background The ONS have developed a Business Glossary solution to support existing business operations. The chosen Glossary solution uses the SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organisation System) framework and the opensource software VocBench and Skosmos. VocBench is used to convert, manage, and edit content and Skosmos is used for presenting content to glossary users. ONS are seeking a 3rd party vendor to install and support the ONS Business Glossary applications in a cloud environment and provide support services to the internal business service. The ONS Glossary team will be responsible for preparing and quality checking the content (including converting content into triples - RDF format) within the data prep environment. The 3rd party vendor will be responsible for exporting and importing prepared content into subsequent environments, testing and production and managing software updates. The glossary will contain approximately 2500 glossary entries. These glossary entries will be organised into collections and is expected to grow by 10-20% annually. A typical collection will have 100 to 200 terms with collection file sizes ranging from 100 to 250KBs. Market Engagement information ONS is conducting market engagement event on 12th December 2021 @10am via Microsoft teams. The market engagement event is an opportunity for ONS to engage with the market around the requirements of support for the ONS Business Glossary application. ONS will share the initial requirements and provide the opportunity for feedback from the suppliers. To be included in the event please email - Pu.projects@ons.gov.uk by 12:00 midday on 10th December 2021, ONS will provide the joining instruction by COP of 10th December.
