Building Positive Relations: Civic Leadership Programme - OCN Level 2 Mentor Masterclasses

Tender description

The successful supplier will be responsible for Developing a training programme which will provide participants with an OCN Level 2 qualification linked to Civic Leadership and the management of this programme. • This training programme will be delivered in a minimum of two locations within the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area (to ensure equality of opportunity for all Community/Voluntary sector participants; the training must be arranged in different locations with an even spread across the district. e.g. Newry and Downpatrick). • Minimum of 30 participants across the entire programme. • Recruit participants to the training by public advertisement and referrals from PEACE IV Officers. Participants must be recruited to meet the Cross-community Balance. • Risk Assessments must be submitted to the relevant PEACE IV Officer a minimum of 1 week prior to the planned activity. This includes online activity. • The programme can be delivered online if Covid 19 regulations dictate and may be a hybrid of online and face-to-face facilitation to assist with meaningful engagement as Covid 19 regulations evolve. Decisions on the most suitable form of programme delivery will be taken in conjunction with the relevant PEACE IV Officer. Programme Objectives: • Engagement of individuals on a cross community basis. • The programme aims to Identify 'tomorrow's' community leaders, build their capacity and develop strong & inclusive leadership skills. • The programme aims to increase skills & knowledge through a series of masterclass workshops on a cross community basis. • The programme will be delivered via a series of “Mentor Masterclasses” equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to build their capacity as community leaders and that of community group throughout the Newry, Mourne & Down District area. • The Mentors will be recruited by the supplier and in conjunction with the supplier these Mentors will deliver a series of masterclasses.
