21074 CCC RFQ for the supply, fit and maintenance of Waterbeach & Northstowe Traffic sensor project

Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) wants to further understand vehicle flows (and also pedestrian, cycle & bus movements) on the road network surrounding Northstowe and Waterbeach New Towns. We are seeking Real Time Traffic Sensors that are capable of carrying out classified counts and monitoring of linked journeys and journey times through several junctions in order to monitor the impact of the growth of the new towns on the surrounding road network. The Authority is looking for the provision of up to seventeen (17) traffic counting sensors to be deployed at seventeen (17) locations to monitor 2-way traffic flows and cycle flows. These locations will be key for both new towns and the surrounding areas.
