Tender description

Babcock Land Defence Ltd, acting as agent for the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to negotiate a single source contract with Colt Canada Corporation for the supply of C8 Rifle Spares. This contract shall be for 3 years with an envisaged value of £1M The Authority intends to award this Contract using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication pursuant to Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 on the basis that, for technical reasons, the Contract can only be awarded to Colt Canada Corporation. This is because the Authority understands that Colt Canada Corporation are the sole authorised distributor for the items in scope of this procurement. This notice is not for expressions of interest, therefore please do not apply to be invited to tender. The notice advises that the UK Ministry of Defence has decided to negotiate a contract directly with Colt Canada Corporation on a single source basis and is published for reasons of transparency only.
