Single-Party Framework for the provision of Potent Powder Weighing Enclosures

Tender description

Teagasc has a requirement to weigh a range of potent powders to six decimal points of accuracy (10-6 g). A Potent Powder Weighing enclosure is required that will contain toxic, highly toxic and carcinogen/mutagen/reprotoxin (cmr) powders, in combination with flammable liquids at a level of less than 100 ng/m3 and 0.05ppm respectively. The requirement to work to an accuracy of 10-6 g eliminates the use of glove boxes or isolators. The enclosures will contain two balances, one six decimal points accuracy and one four decimal points accuracy. The balances will be supplied by Teagasc. The remit of this framework is to provide essential equipment required to meet current testing and research activities in Teagasc to comply with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (SHWW) Act 2005, the Chemicals Acts 2008 & 2010 and the SHWW (Carcinogens) Regulations 2001 & 2015.
