1.3.1 The overall AIM is to develop a cost-effective permanent repair solution for the 30m long section of the River Alt embankment which has recently breached, which will not compromise the sensitivity of the nature reserve and heritage site at Lunt Meadows, and which seeks to operate to alleviate flooding in one part of Maghull upstream.
