FM21214 - Combustibility Testing of Insulation and Cladding

Tender description

UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS), on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) wishes to appoint a supplier to undertake the Testing of a selection of building materials for external walls to verify their classification as defined by BS EN 13501-1:2018. The test methods applied should follow those set out in BS EN 13501-1:2018 as applicable to the samples and should be done following the relevant standards for each test, including any normative/informative reference standards: • EN ISO 1182 - Non-combustibility test • EN ISO 1716 - Heat of combustion test • EN 13823 - Single burning item test • EN ISO 11925-2 - Ignitability test The previous publication notice number was FM21175. No tenders were received in response to the open procedure therefore under Regulation 32 (2)(a) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) the Contracting Authority awarded a contract by negotiated procedure without prior publication.
