Boat Skipper and Caretaker framework 2021-2025

Tender description

The contract awarded is for the supply of a vessel skipper and caretaker for our 12m cabined jet-drive RIB Pedryn. The provider will provide a skippering service for us during periods of fieldwork which may usually be approximately 50-80 days per annum. They will ensure the boat is in good working order (in line with the appropriate Maritime and Coastguard Agency Standards - MGN280) and is prepared and ready for survey. An experienced skipper with experience of working in Welsh waters (Category 2 - up to 60 miles from safe haven). They will have experience of operating vessels around people in the water eg SCUBA diving operations. They will have the necessary skills to be able to perform day to day maintenance on our vessel Pedryn, (engines, hydraulics, jets and electrics) and be able to problem solve and resolve minor issues should they arise.
