The Provision of Archive Digitisation Services to Galway City Council .

Galway City Council wishes to establish with one economic operator a single party framework for the provision of Archive Digitisation Services. The service shall be provided on the premises of the service provider. The service is to digitise, catalogue and publish online (by ingesting into new or existing digital repositories) rare and historic archival collections with cultural heritage significance and of varying origin, age, condition and scale, incorporating a wide range of formats, media and languages Material will be up to or more than 100 years old, including, but not limited to, maps, books, periodicals, pamphlets, correspondence, index cards, postcards, note books, drawings, audio recordings, video recordings, press cuttings, scripts, manuscripts, transcripts, posters, programmes, photographs/negatives/slides, music scores, administrative records, financial records, production files. There may also be a requirement to integrate born-digital files with digitised material.
