Tender description
A Nanosizer able to measure particle sizes between 0.3 nm and 10 µm, including temperature control over a wide range, and is capable of excellent sensitivity for small, dilute, or weakly scattering samples. • The ability to reliably measure the zeta-potential of samples over a wide range of sizes, with the ability to measure zeta-potential in high conductivity buffers (high salt, high ionic strength buffers). • Machine learning based data quality advice to minimise poor quality measurements and to assist in training of novice users. • The ability to identify non-spherical particles and to measure fluorescent samples. • The potential for upgrading to cater for increased functionality and application demand. • Capability for low volume samples down to 12 µL. • Local, trained engineers for instrument and application support. • A computer containing the requisite operating system and software to run the instrument and analyse the resulting data. • Packing, shipment, installation, warranty and training. The Nanosizer system should be flexible and allow for purchase of additional functionality (hardware and software) at a later date to keep up-to-date with developments in the field. Some potential applications include: • Investigation of particle size in various solvents (including high salt and buffer solutions) • Investigation of size, electrophoretic mobility, zeta potential and molecular weight for a range of nanomaterials prepared from both synthetic and natural polymers, metals and various other materials • Investigation of the impact of temperature on particle size and aggregation Lot 229131: Tender for the Supply & Delivery of a Dynamic Light Scattering Nanosizer for Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) See attached Document
