TELEMETRY OUTSTATIONS CONTRACT 2022-27

Tender description

The Environment Agency operates a large number of monitoring sites in England. It operates six telemetry systems based on old regional boundaries. The management of these systems is via a national service consisting of three telemetry hubs each supporting two systems. The management and maintenance of field equipment is carried out in fourteen area based teams. The Environment Agency is in the process of adopting the use of DNP3, WITs DNP3 protocols and IP packet switched data communications to field telemetry outstations. A framework will be let for the supply of telemetry outstations for 3 lots as defined in this document. Each lot has a set of functional requirements that must be met by the outstation type being submitted for consideration. The Agency has a continuing need to purchase new outstations, both to replace old equipment and to meet new and additional requirements. The Agency also has a need to purchase spares/modules as appropriate to repair and maintain equipment purchased under this framework.
