Land Management of HMP Berwyn Ecological Mitigation Area

Tender description

Wrexham County Borough Council require a suitably qualified organisation/body to undertake landscape and habitat management operations and ecological monitoring on Site. The Site must continue to be managed for the favourable condition of wildlife, including Great Crested Newt (GCN) which are protected under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (as amended). Applications must include evidence of: 1. Experience and licenses (if relevant) in relation to botany, amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates, birds and bats; 2. Biosecurity 3. Delivery of species-specific management and surveillance; 4. Availability and access to specialist internal/external advice and support at local and national spatial scales The successful organisation will be responsible for operational management and maintenance of the Site for an initial period of 5 years with the opportunities to extend this for up to a further 5 years.
