Tender description
County wide mentoring service delivered through Mentors (both paid and volunteers) who are positive role models that inspire, encourage and guide young people to achieve their potential. They offer personalised one-to-one support to help improve young people’s lives. The contracts that end have been in place since 2018 and are established. Lot 1: 2 The requirement for additional interventions for some of our young people as a direct result of the pandemic identified that this key service was due to expire in December 2021. The Kent Reconnect Programme has identified Mentoring for at-risk young people as a significant priority of the Health and Happiness workstream. This service will continue to work with young people to support and develop resilience and emotional wellbeing. The aim of the service is to reduce any negative impact on behaviours or mental health conditions which may prevent young people engaging with education, work, family and friends or achieving their potential.
