External Ornithology Expertise at Trawbreaga Bay to the Marine Institute

Tender description

The Marine Institute, a semi State body, wishes to invite tenders for the supply of external expertise in ornithology for the undertaking of monitoring of Light-bellied Brent Geese in the Trawbreaga Bay SPA and subsequent reporting. The operational aspects of this contract will be managed by Marine Environment and Food Safety Services (MEFSS). A monitoring programme is required to address two questions: 1. Is the Light-bellied Brent Goose population utilizing multiple sites? 2. If multiple site use is occurring is this attributable to exclusion or displacement effects of oyster trestle cultivation activities in the Trawbreaga Bay SPA? Suppliers responding to the competition are invited to submit proposals to design and conduct a monitoring programme for the purpose of addressing the two questions above. This contract is one single lot of work. This is an Open Invitation to Tender with any manufacturers and providers invited to respond.
