Curtain Wall Replacement Works on Two Blocks at St Martins Comprehensive School, Caerphilly

Caerphilly County Borough Councils Building Consultancy team is planning to carry out Curtain Wall replacement with associated making good/reinstatement work on two blocks at St Martins Comprehensive School, Caerphilly. The approximate square meterage of curtain walling required is 300sqm The reinstatement work may include internal suspended ceilings repair and replacement including new light fittings if required. It is proposed that the works will be carried out over the school summer holidays of 2022. there maybe an opportunity to start just before the holidays meaning that the project timescale is 6-8 weeks. Expressions of interest are sought from prospective contractors who can demonstrate that they can deliver both schemes within the 6-8 week school summer break. The project is required to be finished before the pupils return to school in September (2nd September 2022) The window designs will be provided when the tender is issued though it is intended that the frames will be aluminium with double glazed units all to comply with current Building Regulations. Tenderers must undertake all duties required as a Principal Contractor under the CDM Regs 2015.
