Tender description

Sandwell has a long history of failing to provide services to an acceptable standard, having being Ofsted rated Inadequate on four occasions since 2009. The Local Authority's children's social care services were transferred to Sandwell Children's Trust on 1 April 2018. The Adviser and Independent Chair of the Improvement Board will provide a clear and sustained focus on the areas for improvement and ensure independent oversight of the Trust's progress in line with its improvement plan. In doing so, the Adviser is expected to supervise the programme of change that the trust has embarked on, to drive forward the improvements and implement close monitoring arrangements, building on work that has already taken place.
