The Common Services Agency (known as National Services Scotland) (‘the Authority’)acting through its division National Procurement is undertaking this procurement of Haemodialysis Machines (including consumables, accessories and maintenance)(‘Products’) on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act, 1978 (i.e. NHS Scotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Authority or other NHS Organisation established pursuant to the NHS(Scotland) Act, 1978), any integrated joint board established pursuant to the new Public Bodies (Joint Working)Scotland Act, 2014 The Products will be split into 7 Lots, each of which are identified below: Lot 1 — Unit Based Haemodialysis Machines (Inc. Accessories, Parts, Consumables and Maintenance) Lot 2 — Home Based Haemodialysis Machines (Inc. Accessories, Parts, Consumables and Maintenance) Lot 3 — High Flux Dialysers Lot 4 — HDF Dialysers Lot 5 — Low Flux Dialysers Lot 6 – Generic Consumables Lot 7 - Needles Lot 1: Unit Based Haemodialysis Machines (Including Accessories, Parts, Consumables and Maintenance) The supply of Haemodialysis Machines (including consumables, accessories and maintenance) for removing waste and excess water from the blood, and is used primarily as an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with renal failure. Haemodialysis Machines within this Lot will be used within NHS Scotland Hospitals and Satellite Renal Units. Lot 2: Home Based Haemodialysis Machines (Including Accessories, Parts, Consumables and Maintenance) The supply of Haemodialysis Machines (including consumables, accessories and maintenance) for removing waste and excess water from the blood, and is used primarily as an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with renal failure. Haemodialysis Machines within this Lot will be used within Patients Homes. Lot 3: High Flux Dialysers Single use High Flux Membrane Dialysers for filtering blood during haemodialysis treatments. Lot 4: HDF Dialysers Single use HDF Dialysers for filtering blood during haemodialysis treatments. Lot 5: Low Flux Dialysers Single use Low Flux Membrane Dialysers for filtering blood during haemodialysis treatments Lot 6: Generic Consumables The supply of generic non-dedicated Haemodialysis Consumables including; Bloodlines, Acid Concentrate, Bicarbonate and Cleaning Products.
