Tender description
1. Introduction and Background. The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Office for Product Safety and Standards have a need to develop a Designated Standards Database (Case Management System) The current technical solution relies too much on human input, resulting in error, and lacks the level of functionality required to monitor standards development, provide individual oversight of workloads, review performance metrics, and collaborate with other government departments. It is hoped that an adapted case management system may be able to provide the level of functionality required. OPSS is keen to explore this and any other adaptable solution which can house detailed entry records, allows users to monitor tasks, has a reporting function, and can be updated via a 3rd party data stream. UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) provide procurement services for BEIS, and in support of this project, UK SBS and BEIS are looking to hold a pre-market Supplier day on Thursday 11th November 2021 which will assist in the development of our understanding of both the applications on the market and any new capabilities that may be on the horizon. The proposed funding range is £160,000.00 for an initial build and further funding for further years for maintenance and support costs. 2. Pre-Market Engagement Supplier Day We would like to invite prospective bidders to attend a pre-market engagement webinar session on Thursday 11th November 2021, via Microsoft Teams meeting. Indicative Agenda (may be refined) a) Welcome & Introductions (OPSS) b) Purpose & project overview (presentation) (OPSS) c) High-level requirements (OPSS) d) Evaluation & procurement process (UKSBS) e) Q&A (all) f) Next steps (OPSS) If you could please register your interest in attending by emailing myself at DDaTProcurement@uksbs.co.uk by no later than 12PM on Tuesday 09th November 2021 detailing your organisations name and representatives of who will be attending the day. When emailing if you could please reference in the subject "DDaT21526 - Designated Standards Database - Supplier Day" upon registration you will be sent through a teams code for attending the day and the finalised agenda.
