CONTRACT FOR THE REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT OF A RETAINING WALL AND RESURFACING OF TENTERBANKS CAR PARK, STAFFORD

Tender description

Victoria Park Car Park - removal of existing failing wall, installation of new sheet piled wall and concrete capping beam, resurfacing of car park and associated works. Victoria Park Car Park is located on Tenterbanks in Stafford (ST16 2QP). Situated alongside the historic Victoria Park this 47 space car park provides parking to local businesses and visitors to the town and leisure and heritage facilities. The existing retaining wall of the car park is in poor condition and over time has warped and twisted in several places. Our Structural Engineers at Wardell Armstrong have assessed the wall and ground conditions, the results of which show that defects apparent are due to poor foundations of the existing wall and the organic matter makeup of the soil beneath.
