Tender description
WIT seeks to create a ‘Quantum Security Testbed’, which will consist of multiple banking grade security systems leveraging Quantum Technologies that Industry can utilise and manipulate to create novel identity and data protection solutions. These include Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNGs), Firewalls with VPN capabilities (encryptors), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems. This tender will address the Quantum Key Distribution Platform (transmitter and receiver) requirements. A QKD platform with an open architecture, which provides access to the parameters and configuration of the system – such as access to the raw keys – through automated (API) means. Thus allowing the testing and investigation of various aspects of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
