Supply of submeter accurate GNSS data collection units including hand set and receiver and ArcGIS online workflow implementation

Tender description

An Bord Iascaigh Mhara, a semi-State agency, wishes to invite tenders for a GIS capture system compatible with ESRI ArcGIS for the delivery of a range of GIS services to the seafood industry. BIM Regional Development Officers cover the coastal counties of Ireland, providing a wide range of services using GIS to the local aquaculture industry to improve coastal zone management. Those services include accurate (sub-meter) mapping to aid licence applications, data collection for stock assessment surveys, aquaculture structure mapping, invasive species abundance surveys, mapping and reporting on the status of navigation aids as well shore litter. Therefore, we are looking at available GNSS collection technology and streamlined workflows/data collection through Applications, and data transfer using online platforms directly compatible with ESRI ArcGIS software currently employed in the BIM workflow. The primary purpose of this tender is to supply BIM with a minimum of five (5) submeter GNSS data collection units including handsets and receivers and also set up organisational workflow on ArcGIS Online for the main project types identified above. BIM have a subscription for ArcGIS and appropriate licenses and therefore this does not form part of this tender. Given BIM’s existing subscription to ArcGIS online, proprietary software also does not form part of this tender.
