Supply of Benthic Macroinvertebrate Identification and Sediment Analysis Services

Tender description

The Marine Institute, a semi State body, wishes to invite tenders under an open procedure with the objective of putting a Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement in place from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024, subject to annual reviews. The Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement will establish a panel of service providers for the supply of benthic macroinvertebrate identification and sediment analysis services. The Marine Institute will draw from this panel for lots of work through mini-competitions. Criteria for the mini-competitions are set out in the attached Invitation to Tender. The Marine Institute wishes to invite applicants to submit a tender to conduct full taxonomic analysis of macroinvertebrates, sediment Particle Size Analysis (PSA) and loss on Ignition (LOI) analysis. Waterbodies likely to be submitted for this Framework are listed in the attached Invitation to Tender. The specific services required which are to be included in the maximum price per station are: Taxonomic analysis of macroinvertebrates from sedimentary habitats, Sediment Particle Size Analysis (PSA), Loss on Ignition (LOI) analysis. The Marine Institute wishes to note that the maximum price must include: the cost of sample collection from Marine Institute (Rinville, Galway, Ireland), delivery of species retained or voucher collection and occasional retention of sample residue and delivery to the Marine Institute.
