Tender description

The scope of works required as part of the SEAI & DoES Schools Energy Pathfinder programme 2021-2022 at St.Columba`s Comprehensive School, Glenties, Co.Donegal will comprise of the following items: Supply & install of a prefabricated containerised biomass wood pellet boiler installation to provide 90% (minimum) of the Schools annual heating demand and connection to the existing LTHW heating system installation. The Biomass boiler must act as priority boiler with LPG boiler installation as assist and backup in event of failure/downtime of biomass boiler (including all necessary control configuration to achieve this). The contractor shall include for any necessary modification to existing heating plant installations and controls to allow seamless operation/control of the heating system. The contractor shall also allow for the supply and sale of delivered heat to school for set contract period in the form of wood pellet fuel and operation & maintenance of the heating system for 15 years. The tender will be assessed as a complete package and reviewed based on the following criteria: Price (60%), Cost of Capex Installation (40%).
