Remote topic based CPD and GP update - Yorkshire & Humber

Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award. Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to GP Update Limited t/a Red Whale. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. Heath Education England [HEE] Yorkshire and Humber believe that 'Red Whale' is the only organisation capable of providing the services required - to deliver a high-quality, interactive GP Trainee focused, web-based update seminars, pre-recorded teaching modules and individual topic-based education. Since the emergence of Covid-19 in Spring 2019 education has largely been delivered using various remote platforms and been a mixture of topic-based and experiential. With the ongoing need for innovative on-line learning solutions there is a now a national procurement process to develop bespoke Trainee update courses and individual learning. This process is yet to be concluded so HEE Yorkshire and Humber plan to commission services in the meanwhile. HEE Yorkshire and Humber has clear objectives to support trainee and educators in ongoing educational development despite the challenges of Covid-19. These include • Global access to high quality education despite limitations of remote teaching. • Aid all trainees to achieve their educational goals - especially with regard to progress in exam attainment. • Support educators with Trainee appropriate educational material. • Have educational material to use to help differences in differential attainment. The financial envelope for the contract is £103,065, exclusive of any VAT.
