<p>Alterations and Refurbishment at Spellow Library, 125 County Road, Liverpool L4 3QF.</p> <p>Liverpool City Council (the Council) is procuring the full refurbishment of Spellow Library, in order to create a more flexible multi-purpose-use space. This will include:</p> <p>o &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain the large open flexible library space<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;New front entrance access ramp<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;New enclosed office and help desk area<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Installation of glazed sliding door to enclose children&rsquo;s library and allow for use as multi-functional event space<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Ground floor enhancements including breakout spaces, enclosed classroom via glazed partitions and new group room<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Public access to new WC suite and Changing Places Toilet<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Refurbished staff room with kitchenette<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;New platform lift<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Full redecoration including new flooring throughout<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Remediation of any defective Glazing<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Replacement of heating system<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;External brickwork and concrete to be made good<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;New curtain walling to replace existing timber framed glazing<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;External lighting feature<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Upgrade to fire alarm system<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Upgrades to emergency lighting<br />o &nbsp; &nbsp;Existing staircases are to remain with balustrades to mezzanine level.
