Compartmentation Works Block W Coleraine Campus Phase 3

Tender description

The Contract is for the provision of the following works to the existing Block W, Coleraine Campus of the Ulster University. · The University has identified areas within Block W, Coleraine Campus where existing fire compartmentation, including fire doors, have been compromised or has never had fire compliant fire compartmentation installed. The Tenderer shall provide the Works in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements as set out in the Employer’s Requirements (Document 2 of the ITT Documentation) and the Contract. Tenderers shall include within their Commercial Submission (Document 5 of the ITT Documentation) all sums required to provide the Works in accordance with the Contract. The works comprises the following: · Provision of New Fire Compartmentation where required. · Upgrade/reinstatement of existing Fire Compartmentation. · Upgrade existing Fire Doors. · Removal and reinstatement of existing areas of suspended ceilings. · Making Good on any disturbed finishes. The contractor will be required to provide copies of the installers UKAS accreditation for fire stopping works (using a third-party installer and product certification scheme such as FIRAS, LPCB, IFC or BM TRADA), to confirm that the installer has gone through an audit and their staff have received relevant training in the use of their proposed fire stopping products. All adjacent pedestrian/vehicular access routes will remain operational for the duration of the works. All works to be carried out outside normal working hours (8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday).
