Market Engagement - Woodland Establishment on Vacant and Derelict land in England’s Community Forests

Cheshire West and Chester Council is conducting soft market testing in respect of the Woodland Establishment on Vacant and Derelict land in England’s Community Forests. The Authority, working closely with Defra is looking to procure four elements of work, to make significant progress in developing and delivering a pipeline of potential woodland establishment schemes on vacant and derelict land. These are offered as separate contracts, though we welcome proposals that can deliver Tasks 1, 2 and 3 together through a partnership or consortium approach or where a single entity has the capacity to take on the whole programme. Tackling vacant and derelict land is a key target for the Defra Nature for Climate programme. As part of government’s Nature for Climate fund, Defra is working to deliver new woodland establishment through the Community Forests, with CW&C acting as the accountable body for the programme.
