Luas Systems Renewals and Resilience Project (1)

Tender description

This is an award notice only. TII are renewing the telecommunication systems that Luas relies upon, including servers, software, and complementary technologies. These systems are largely based in Red Cow. Lot 1: The contract involves the replacement of much of the Luas central control room technology (“CCR”, the asset renewal element), and includes the implementation of a back-up control systems (the back-up element). The estimated value outturn of the contract includes for contingency not included within the award value as noted. This is notwithstanding the proposed replacement of all hardware components, and some software components, of the CCR, the critical software and protocols that allow integration to the distributed subsystems on Luas are being retained (subject to some minor modification). See also information provided under IV.1.1. The value is €8,970,397.51. ex contingency. The value associated with this notice (excluding VAT) is based on current information and scope as currently envisaged. The amount will be subject to ongoing assessment of the scope and other associated works. TII does not commit to any amount, any retainer and all projects are subject to approval.
