<p>The Greater Manchester violence reduction unit (VRU) supports the effective rehabilitation and risk management of young people and adults involved in crime. Transition to adulthood is a difficult time for many young people, but it can be especially so for young adults who have been in care as they often do not have the emotional, financial and personal support of parents and other family members. Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit are looking to strengthen the case management of young care leavers supervised by the GM Probation and Youth Justice Services. To do this, we are seeking to commission a provider who can deliver: &bull; A training/consultation model to improve practice when working with young people/adults who are in, leaving or recently left the care system. &bull; An intervention offer for care leavers transitioning from custody to community.
