Tender description

The overarching purpose of the provision of dementia support services is to ensure that people with dementia, and their carers and family members, who are resident in Bedfordshire (excluding Luton), receive quality support services which help them understand their condition, achieve their desired outcomes and maintain their well-being and quality of life. Lot 1: Memory Navigation Services For people to gain access to services and get the support they need, they will need to know what support is available to them and how to access it. They will need to be provided with advice about what might be relevant and appropriate to them, and their particular circumstance, and should be available when and where they are needed. It should be a central hub there to support everyone, irrespective of where they might be on their journey. Lot 2: Local Dementia Support Group Services The purpose of the local dementia support groups is to provide people with access to local support that meets their particular needs. The range of opportunities provided needs to ensure that a wide range of customer needs are met. This should include gender-based approaches, young onset provision, support for people of working age and those living alone. This list is not exhaustive, and Providers will be expected to change and adapt to reach new and emerging need.
