Tender description

The design of options for the development of a school facility consisting of a P+8 MCR Primary school (extendable – refer to 5.1.3 (c)) with 1 Class Base SEN in line with the Overall Schedule of Accommodation at Appendix A, a full traffic management plan as well as all necessary associated ancillary site works. Options will be developed to DTP Stage 1 when a preferred option will be agreed for detailed design and construction. Refer to 5.1.3 above. (b) The creation of adequate car parking for staff and visitors, adequate set down and pick up for pupils arriving by school bus, by car or by bicycle. The creation of adequate hard and soft play area in accordance with the schedules of accommodation, will also be required. (c) A pre-planning meeting with the Planning Department of the Local Authority should take place prior to the pre-Stage 1 meeting. (d) The accommodation for pupils with SEN should be located, and designed in accordance with the requirements of TGD 026, and its addendums. (e) Any programme proposed and adopted for this project shall consider the optimum design solution, including construction sequences to ensure timely occupancy and transfer by the school.
