Tender description

Digger works in the form of peat dam creation and re-profiling at Lumbister, Yell, Shetland. TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF: Peatland restoration work including the following: - 6137m of ditch restoration which will be completed with a combination of three techniques: - Ditch blocking using peat dams (approximately 873 dams). - Ditch reprofiling where the ditch edges are hagged (approximately 1270m of ditch reprofiling). - Ditch blocking using plastic pile dams where peat is less deep for peat damming or ditches are too wide (approximately 61 dams) - Approximately 1934m of hag reprofiling in erosion / hag systems outside of ditches
