Interreg FCE EXPERIENCE Project - Destination Research

Tender description

The EXPERIENCE project is looking to extend the visitor season and grow visitor numbers during the traditionally quieter season (Oct-Mar), specifically growing sustainable visitors that leave a positive impact on the local environment and host communities. To do this, Cornwall Council will conduct regular research with three audiences: visitors - businesses - residents. The purpose of this research is to understand buying patterns and behaviours (increasing visitor numbers and associated expenditure, expanding off-season tourism), engagement with experiences created by the project (sustainable performance of the business year round) and how visitors sustainably engage with the host destination on a seasonal basis. The project is looking to have comparable data between low and peak season to help monitor the key indicators and inform future direction and policy. The project must work with an organisation that is licensed to conduct destination visitor research in Cornwall, using the Cambridge Economic Model, to ensure comparable data.
