Tender description

The key focus of the DIGIWISE project is to support Social Enterprises in utilising Digital Innovation to adapt, maintain and grow their services in a way that contribute to long term sustainability. DIGIWISE will provide training, mentoring and related support for up to 50 Social Enterprises in the Mid West and Waterford regions of Ireland under the following key areas: o The development and implementation of a Digital Innovation Strategy for their organisation o Maximising the potential and use of Innovative Digital Technologies within their organisation. o To assist participating Social Enterprises to identify a DIGIWISE leader for their organisation o To utilise digital technology to improve administrative efficiencies within their organisation o To maximise the potential of digital technologies to promote and market their organisation and the services it provides with the ultimate aim of increasing traded income and social impact o To explore how digital technologies can support and create sales, income generation and other commercial opportunities for their Social Enterprise (e.g. supported by Trading Online Vouchers where accessible) o Promote Digital Inclusion – Encourage Social Enterprises to becomes ‘Champions of Digital Inclusion’ within their target communities. Help them to identify the factors contributing to Digital Exclusion among their target communities. Devise strategies to address ‘Digital Exclusion’ within their target communities It is intended that a series of DIGIWISE online workshops will be organised where a maximum of 50 Social Enterprises from the target area will be encouraged to participate. These workshops will act as an introduction to the areas of Digital Innovation for participating Social Enterprises. Social Enterprises will be encouraged to review their own approach to Digital Innovation. A number of specialist DI workshops will also be offered to Social Enterprises demonstrating interest in specific topics.
