Christmas Ice Rink

Tender description

<p>To install and manage an ice-rink for a period of six weeks from Thursday 18th November to Friday 31st December 2021 in Wigan Town Centre. The opening hours will be 10:00am to 17:30pm Monday to Saturday and 10:00am to 16:00pm on Sundays. This tender consists of the following two Options: Option 1 &ndash; The provision of a &ldquo;real&rdquo; ice rink. Option 2 &ndash; The provision of a synthetic ice rink. Our preference is that the ice rink is a &ldquo;real &ldquo;ice rink, however, we are also accepting bids for a synthetic ice rink. Tenderers may submit prices for one or both Options. Wigan Council will procure an ice rink by selecting one of the Options only, the choice of which will entirely be at the discretion of Wigan Council. Bids received under either of the Options must be within the maximum budget envelope of &pound;60,000 (exc. VAT). The ice rink must not exceed 10m x 20m and will be free for the public to attend. We are flexible with the sizing providing that the size is as close to 10m x 20m as possible. The hire will include delivery/collection, construction/installation, staffing, equipment and full Christmas dressing, all in accordance with the Specification as detailed in the Invitation to Tender document.
