Structural Survey Services (DGHP)

Tender description

This contract requires structural surveys to be carried out across DGHP's property portfolio. This work is to survey structural failures identified as part of a Stock Condition Survey carried out in 2019. These failures currently breach Scottish Housing Quality Standards and this work is required to establish the remedial work required to rectify these failures. DGHP require full structural surveys on the properties as listed in Appendix A, together with solutions and specifications of works required to rectify any problems identified. All surveys will need to highlight the problems with that property and clearly detail and specify all works to bring this property back up to standard and approximate costs of these works. The successful consultant shall organise their workloads to ensure that they can maximise surveys per day and minimise travel where possible. The following step-by-step guide provides a summary of the overall service required: - The successful Consultant will have responsibility for contacting all customers to notify them of the survey required and type of access required (Internal or External). - DGHP will write to customers explaining initially why we require these surveys and full guidelines together with a FAQ sheet, helping to alleviate any customers concerns regarding covid and this will be discussed with the successful consultant prior to issue. - The Consultant will give the customer a courtesy call 24 hours before the start date to confirm everything is in order and that the survey can commence as planned; - The Surveyor will carry out and complete the survey required within the timescale required; - Full surveys detailing works required and specifications to be forwarded onto DGHP within 2 weeks of survey date.
