Monaghan Integrated Development CLG wish to undertake a strategic review of its current activities with a view to developing an up to date Strategic Plan which will be used to communicate our organizations goals, the actions needed to achieve those goals and all of the other critical elements developed during the planning process. Our current mission of the organisation is to “To empower and promote social inclusion and make rural and community development economically sustainable through an integrated partnership that works with service providers”. Our Board and staff strive for continual improvement and in providing the best and most appropriate suite of supports to the communities of the county. We have recently achieved the Q-Mark Quality Management Standard and one of its recommendation is to develop an up to date Strategic Plan for the organisation. The organisation delivers a number of different programmes on behalf of the State and the governance and fund specific rules for these have changed over recent years. The new strategic plan will outline priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the organization’s direction in response to a changing operational environment for our sector. We anticipate the strategic review will be a disciplined effort that produces fundamental decisions and actions that shape and guide what MID is, who it serves, what it does, and why it does it, with a focus on the future, sustainability and relevance. We envisage a new and vibrant strategic plan which articulates not only where our organization is going and the actions needed to make progress, but also how we measure progress and how we will know if we are successful.
