Tender description
The scope of the contract includes the supply and management of service of PPE and workwear and the supply of specialist safety equipment to the contracting entity. The tender will consist of three lots: 1) Gas Networks Ireland, 2) Irish Water, 3) Specialist Safety Equipment. Lots will be awarded as separate contracts to the winners of each respective lot. It is anticipated that the contract will cover the following services to the contracting entity (including any subsidiary or holding company of the contracting entity) initially for a three year period, with a contracting entity option to extend for up to a further 2 years, subject to an annual review after the 3 year period at the sole discretion of the contracting entity. Detailed specifications for garments and equipment will be provided at tender stage. The scope of the individual lots are as follows: Lot 1: Gas Networks Ireland, Lot 2: Irish Water, Lot 3: Specialist Safety Equipment. (As per PQQ Document). — Maintaining minimum stock levels (at Supplier’s site (s)); — a sizing service and maintenance of sizing records for individual staff; — delivering goods, on receipt of order and within a minimum timeframe to the correct individual at the correct location in the Republic of Ireland; — providing on use, storage and care of PPE; — keeping records of PPE/ Workwear provided to individual staff; — maintaining a catalogue with associated inventory code (printed and electronic) of approved PPE and workwear; — sourcing of alternative PPE and garments; — sourcing of one-off PPE and garments on an ad-hoc basis; — branding/re-branding of existing PPE (e.g. embroidered logos, sew-on patches, printing/overprinting of heat-seal logos); — operating a suitable ordering and procurement system to receive orders from and dispatch goods to, multiple personnel and multiple locations, nationwide; — reporting on consumption. Management reporting in compliance with GDPR legislation. — Maintaining minimum stock levels (at Supplier’s site(s)), — a sizing service and maintenance of sizing records for individuals, — delivering goods, on receipt of order and within a minimum timeframe to the correct individual at the correct location, — providing training on use, storage and care of PPE, — keeping records of PPE/workwear provided to individuals, — maintaining a catalogue with associated inventory code (printed and electronic) of approved PPE and workwear, — sourcing of alternative PPE and garments, — sourcing of one-off ppe and garments on an ad-hoc basis, — branding/re-branding of existing PPE (e.g. embroidered logos, sew-on patches, printing/overprinting of heat-seal logos), — operating a suitable ordering and procurement system to receive orders from and dispatch goods to, multiple personnel and multiple locations, nationwide, — reporting on consumption, — management reporting. Quantity/scope: PPE and workwear may include but is not limited to: • day-to-day workwear (e.g. work trousers, shirts, jumpers, fleeces, etc.; • personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety shoes, ear defenders, gloves, etc., designed to protect personnel against routine risks associated with a water/wastewater utility business. — Maintaining minimum stock levels (at Supplier’s site), — a sizing service and maintenance of sizing records for individuals, — delivering goods, on receipt of order and within a minimum timeframe to the correct individual at the correct location, — providing training on use, storage and care of specialist safety equipment, — inspection/maintenance/testing/certification of specific specialist PPE/safety equipment (e.g. buoyancy aids, breathing apparatus, work at height equipment), — keeping records of specialist safety equipment/PPE supplied, — operating a suitable ordering and procurement system to receive orders from and dispatch goods to, multiple personnel and multiple locations, nationwide, — reporting on consumption, — management reporting. Quantity/scope: Specialist safety equipment may include but is not limited to: Fire-suits, buoyancy aids, work at height equipment, breathing apparatus, specialist respiratory protective equipment, confined space entry equipment, personal atmosphere monitors, etc. designed to protect personnel against specific risks associated with gas and water/waste water utility businesses. It is anticipated that both Irish Water and Gas Networks Ireland will procure specialist safety equipment through lot 3. It is anticipated that lot 3 will be awarded to a panel of suppliers.
