Evaluation Consultant for NLHF funded Revealing Wigan Archives

Tender description

This contract is for the provision of consultancy services to undertake evaluation activities for National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) funded Revealing Wigan Archives. The purpose of this is to gain key learning from the capital element of the scheme and create a framework for ongoing evaluation of the activity phase. Wigan Council received £1.3m from the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2018 to transform the Archives and Local Studies service through major capital works, a new exhibition space, and an improved service and programme of new community and volunteer activity. The service is housed in the Grade II listed Leigh Town Hall which has been undergoing a major refurbishment over the past 18 months as part of a wider capital scheme. In overview, the evaluation consultant will be required to evaluate the capital element of the scheme, review the existing evaluation methodology and develop an evaluation strategy to cover the activity plan going forward, deliver training and supply training materials to support staff and volunteers, and produce evaluation reports.
