Dungarvan 2040 – Strategic Framework & Implementation Plan

Waterford City and County Council wishes to procure a multi-disciplinary team, led by economic/planning consultants consistent with the core objective of identifying economic development proposals but comprising of other relevant disciplines such as urban design, spatial planning, architecture, tourism, culture and heritage etc. to research and produce an overall project framework plan for Dungarvan Town and Environs to guide the development of the town to 2040. Dungarvan 2040 will provide a blueprint for all stakeholders of Dungarvan to direct their efforts adopting a cohesive and planned approach to Dungarvan’s social and economic development – very much in line with the National 2040 Planning framework approach. The delivery of this project over the 20-year period should identify opportunities to make best use of the range of Government supports to rural towns including Town and Village Renewal Scheme funding, LEADER and Rural Regeneration Development Funding and other economic development supports to achieve the agreed objectives outlined in Dungarvan 2040. The plan should align itself with the spatial elements being developed as part of the new Waterford City & County Development Plan.
