County Kildare LEADER Partnership (CKLP) is the Local Development Company for County Kildare and delivers the Rural Development (LEADER) Programme, the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme, Tus, CE and Local Training Initiatives. The Rural Development Programme (LEADER) 2014-2020 operates under a Local Development Strategy. Our mission is to facilitate individuals and communities to participate fully in social, economic and cultural activity by supporting a vibrant and inclusive society in County Kildare. Tenders are invited for the provision of Smart Villages Training for voluntary community groups in four locations in County Kildare. This initiative will be funded under the Rural Development Programme (LEADER). Smart Villages are communities in rural areas that use innovative solutions to improve their resilience, building on local strengths and opportunities. Smart villages are made up of rural people who take the initiative to explore practical solutions to the underlying challenges they face and to seize new opportunities. The Smart Villages concept will bring a fresh approach and open new opportunities to improve the sustainability of rural areas and communities delivering on the promise of “A better life in rural areas” and will reflect the principles and methods associated with Smart and Competitive Rural Areas.
