Tender description

Approval has been given by the Director of Regeneration and Place, having consulted the Chair and Spokespersons of the Economy, Regeneration and Development Committee, to extend delivery of this service to end of December 2021, when a new Business Support Service commission will commence (Published ODN 'Business Support Service - Short Term Extension', 16 Sep 2021 refers). This extended period will enable a reasonable time for contract mobilisation for bidders. Legal and procurement advice received states that we can proceed as an exemption request to continue provision of the current Business Support Service. This can be achieved within current budgets by extending to the end of December at a cost of £97,284.75. The extension of the contract would be permitted under Regulation 72 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 since it would not be regarded as a substantial modification of the existing contract.
