Vegetation and Fencing Management Framework

Tender description

Network Rail has awarded a three-year framework (+ up to three years extension) for the provision of Fencing and Vegetation Management Services. This covers the period from 1st July 2021 to 30th June 2024 with an estimated value is £0 - £387,744,157 over the three-year term (including extension value). The services themselves are of a wider remit than the current frameworks and will include a provision for total lineside management of our lineside assets incorporating consideration to environmental and ecological aspects of Fencing and Vegetation. The Framework will cover the following Network Rail Regions: Southern, Eastern, Scotland, NW & C, Wales & Western. These five Regions form twenty-one Lots. Lot 1 - 7: Eastern Region Eastern Region - Fencing - The removal or repair of existing and erection of new fencing or enhancement of existing fencing on land adjacent to Network Rail’s operational railway at the boundary between Network Rail and adjacent owners' land with consideration to safety, the use of tool and plant and the environment and biosecurity. Eastern Region - Vegetation - The management of lineside vegetation in accordance with ecological and environmental considerations. Lot 8 - 14: NW & C Region NW & C Region - Fencing - The removal or repair of existing and erection of new fencing or enhancement of existing fencing on land adjacent to Network Rail’s operational railway at the boundary between Network Rail and adjacent owners' land with consideration to safety, the use of tool and plant and the environment and biosecurity. NW & C Region - Vegetation - The management of lineside vegetation in accordance with ecological and environmental considerations. Lot 15 - 16: Scotland Region Scotland Region - Fencing - The removal or repair of existing and erection of new fencing or enhancement of existing fencing on land adjacent to Network Rail’s operational railway at the boundary between Network Rail and adjacent owners' land with consideration to safety, the use of tool and plant and the environment and biosecurity. Wales & Western Region - Vegetation –The management of lineside vegetation in accordance with ecological and environmental considerations.
